May 11th My art show Twists and Turns at Gallery Route One in Point Reyes Station will have a celebration closing party 3 to 5 hosted by me. As I look up in the wall and I see 37 pieces of art (I can’t believe it myself) that I’ve done not entirely all this last year but a lot of them. I realize that there was a lot to think about. Oh happy that I’m going to be at this event and hopefully seeing my friends and people that like my work and people that just want to see Art I will make some painted bread and have drinks and things to nibble.

There are two other shows as well Artist Vickisa with Twists and Turns, a lively collection of paintings and artists’ books. Guest Curator Meyo Marrufo’s, Maakon/Yowa: Grounded in Coast Miwok, a group exhibition of contemporary California Indian Culture. Artist Jizell Albright presents Overview, aerial drawings on paper.
Saturday May 10th On the green near Café Reyes in Point Reyes Station Representing Coast Miwok, Southern Pomo, and other Pomo groups. Dance performances at 11am and 2pm.Cards, prints, crafts, jewelry and tacos for sale. Weaving and acorn processing demos. I enjoyed these folks.
My son Merlin is going to be joining me from Santa Monica and will be helping me take down the show so it’s gonna be a long night and fun.I have seen hardly anybody that I know and love because I have been so busy pulling these shows together etc. Just being a person ain’t easy nowadays.
MAY 11, Mothers Day, Pancake Breakfast at Bolinas Fire Dept. I found a great generous place Skippys in Petaluma, to get boxes of eggs butfor the first time in over 40 years I’m going to miss cracking eggs etc. I love this event so much but am going to be at Gallery Route One 11 to 5. You might catch both.
May 15th at 4-5 my radio show, Coastal Airwaves. My guest will be Lily Yoseph, Founder of Tangible Hope Foundation.
Tangible Hope works to empower and educate young girls in Lily’s home country of Ethiopia. For her work she was honored by the Dalai Lama with the Unsung Heroes of Compassion Award. Lily and I are good friends and I’m really looking forward to finding out what’s going on with her project since she started Tangible Hope lots I am sure knowing her. The response to the Bolinas Drawing Group exhibition in Bolinas was really very full and positive and fun. I did a closing April 27, that was a nice party with painted bread, etc.
The end of May will have a lot of appointments that I haven’t made yet and taken care of, and trying to clean up my act now you know everything don’t hesitate to tell me your story
Bolinas Film Festival presents CineSpring! A series of films over the weekend of May 16-18. Films include: between the mountain and the sky about Maggie Doyle and her work in Nepal, A Complete Uknown the Bob Dylan biopic (outdoors!), and more! Enzo always puts on a good show or more and outside could be fun.
New Orleans French Quarter Festival and more. For the first time in a long time of making books like this I showed the musicians are people their images that I drew and honestly I got such a great response I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier I made lots of good friends honestly. More later.
