Depicting her own life in colorful packed pieces, Vickisa… as in the work of Frida Khalo and many other artists, whatever is going on at the time ends up in her artwork. Her pieces reflect many moods, from great happiness to deep sadness to quirky happenings.
In August 2007, she got a rescue puppy and ever since has been trying to figure out what Rosebud is thinking. Rosebud has served as the model for many paintings in this exhibition. Vickisa often uses her work as conjuring process and the pieces she did about dogs before she actually found Rosebud resemble her remarkably.
